We hand over the goods at the hub warehouse (Miami, Panama or China). Your company arranges pickup, export, freight and insurance.

FOB

Delivered on board

We load the goods onto the vessel at the port of loading. From there, your company books the freight and insurance.

CFR

Cost and freight in one price

Your price includes the cost of the goods and freight to your port of destination. Your company arranges insurance: the risk passes to you once the goods are on board.

CIF

Cost, insurance and freight in one price

Your price includes the cost of the goods, freight and insurance to your port of destination. Your company handles unloading and customs clearance.

What is CFR?

CFR (Cost and Freight) is a sea freight Incoterm. We give you a single price that already includes the cost of the goods and freight to your port of destination.

Your CFR price includes
  • Cost of the goods
  • Export clearance
  • Loading on board at the port of loading
  • Freight to your port of destination
Your company covers
  • Cargo insurance
  • Unloading at destination
  • Customs clearance and duties
  • Transport to your warehouse

The risk passes to your company once the goods are on board at the port of loading, even though freight is already included in your price. That's why it pays to insure the cargo. If you'd rather we include insurance too, ask for CIF.
